quick post
Haven't been posting much on here, lately..I've been randomly surfing the net in search of some new inspirational design materials, and came across this site - www.sleevage.com
Very cool collection of album art and related stories behind the creation process.
..and I came across one of my favorite videos, linked to one of the artwork backstory postings - It is not possible to watch this too many times!
ok, I'm too tired to be posting...end transmission

PEX Summer Fest 2009

Hola!
It's been long overdue since I posted something here..and what better time to post! This past July 4th weekend was one for the record books! Myself and a few close friends attended the first annual Philadelphia Experiment Summer Festival.
I was first introduced to PEX when I first began spinning poi. I was desperately looking for like-minded folk to practice with and stumbled upon a meetup group known as Philadelphia Fire Arts. From there, I discovered the wonderful world of PEX! It's extremely difficult to put into words what exactly PEX is - here is their website, which may help clarify the enormity of what they represent. But anyhoo, the organizers hold annual fundraisers/events in order to raise money for their Burning Man camp in BRC each year. I am happy I was able to witness their transformation from one-night events to full-fledged festival mode. It took an incredible amount of effort to coordinate the festival, but everything came together beautifully! It was truly inspirational to see such love, dedication, vision and group effort put forth. There were workshops, speakers, performers, painters, dreamers, sculptors, thinkers, music, and so many more things I could list..but I won't, because the list would just go on and on, and on and on... Here are some photos a friend of mine took, and I will be posting mine soon. The weekend's festivites left me knowing, without a shadow of a doubt, that real love is still alive and well. :)

Reminiscing about the 90's - part One
Hola, again!
So, I was sitting around bored out of my mind on a Saturday night (while Markus got to go out to a strip club for his big 30th) and started going on yet another YouTube adventure. You know, when you start watching one video and somehow end up on the other side of the web looking at LOLCatz or some other various bullshit (Segways!). So, earlier I had come across some Milli Vanilli videos, and now, later in the evening I've ended up watching some cheesy-ass Aqua videos. (Unfortunately, I must admit that I used to listen to them..I was quite young and was easily attracted to the addictive repetitive trancey bubblegum whatever-the-hell-you-wanna-call-it). More and more, I find myself reminiscing about the 90's - mostly about the GOOD music..but more often than not, I come across a lot of BAD music..Here is a sampling of videos that will make you laugh and have a bit of an uneasy feeling - all at once!
Here's the link to the Milli Vanilli video..Apparently, you can't share them on YouTube..annoying..
Some Aqua..
